Gfinity Plc (LON:GFIN) is looking forward to the start of its flagship event, the Elite Series, which kicks off tomorrow.
The season of eSports competition begins at the Gfinity eSports Arena in London on Friday July 7, and events will run every weekend through to September 3. The competition will be broadcast online, at Gfinitiyesports.com.
Eight professional eSports teams, with a total of 160 gamers, will participate in the nine-week tournament which comprises three concurrent leagues (one for each of the games: Street Fighter V, CS:GO and Rocket League).
Gfinity has announced the event will be hosted by stand-up comedian Tom Deacon, while the broadcast presenters will be Yasmin Evans, Radio 1 DJ, and ITV presenter Arielle Free.
