WPP plc (LON:WPP) has confirmed that it continues to experience disruptions at some of its companies following a cyber-attack on Tuesday.
The FTSE 100-listed advertising group said while many of its businesses are “fully functional”, some are still facing issues.
“Steady progress is being made towards restoring services,” the company said.
“However, in doing so, our emphasis is not only on speed but on safety, and on minimising the impact for our people, partners and clients.”
WPP added that there was no evidence to suggest that confidential information or personal data has been affected by the malware attack

The group was one of many firms across Europe and the US to be hit by the ransomware attack, known as Petya. The malicious software appeared to stem from a Ukrainian software product, which brought down the government’s website and disrupted many of the country’s businesses.
Other companies affected include food group Mondelez, legal firm DLA Piper and Danish shipping and transport firm Maersk.
