SuperGroup Plc (LON:SGP) has had to put out its annual results ahead of schedule after they were in a bag stolen from a member fo staff and might have been seen by someone outside the company.
The Superdry brand clothing group said revenue to 29 April rose by 27% to £752mln, with like-for-growth of 12.7% on a comparable 52 week basis.
Gross margins were 1.3 percentage points lower due to a strong performance by the wholesale arm, with underlying profit 18.4% higher to £87mln (2016: £73.5mln)
On a statutory basis (for 53 weeks), pre-tax profits rose by 53% to £84mln.
Underlying profits in 2018 will be in line with expectations, the group added.
