Fred's Inc caught in the fall-out from the collapse of the Walgreens Rite-Aid deal

Fred's had been in line to buy a parcel of Rite Aid stores as Walgreens sought to circumvent monopoly concerns

Acuity Brands Inc (NYSE:AYI), up 11% at US$198.97.

The lighting solutions firm saw fiscal third quarter sales rise 5% from a year earlier to US$891.6mln. Earnings per share rose 12% to US$1.90.

Obseva SA (NASDAQ:OBSV), up 11% at US7.00.

The Swiss pharmaceutical company focused on pregnancy, said it will make presentations at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) 2017 Annual Meeting, which is taking place July 2-5 in Geneva, Switzerland.

FALLERS

Inpixon (NASDAQ:INPX), down 42% at US$0.73.

The data analytics and indoor location tracking specialist is seeking to raise US$6mln through an underwritten public offering of shares so it can redeem US$5.49mln of debt.

Fred’s Inc (NASDAQ:FRED), down 19% at US$10.03.

The regional pharmacy chain got caught in the fall-out from the apparent collapse of the Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ:WBA) and Rite Aide Corp (NYSE:RAD) merger over regulatory concerns.
