Coffee giant chain Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) flexed its social conscience muscle today - saying it would hire 2,500 refugees in its European stores by 2022.
It is part of the group's commitment to hire 10,000 refugees around the world.
This global program was announced in January this year.
Starbucks said it will work with aid agencies in eight countries where the coffee shop operates.
These are Britain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands.
Shares closed last night at US$60.90 a throw.
