UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (LON:UKOG) gave investors on its progress with the Broadford Bridge-1 (BB-1) exploration well in West Sussex.
BB-1 is targeting four intervals in the Kimmeridge limestone play, which was successfully tested at the Horse Hill discovery.
The well has so far been drilled to a measured depth of 830 metres. BB-1 is being drilled at an inclination through natural fractures. It is anticipated that the Kimmeridge targets will be encountered at a drilled depth of 1,300 and 1,700 metres, which equates to 950 to 1,200 metres vertical depth.
In Friday’s update, UKOG said it expects to begin a process of extensive coring within the target limestones next week.
It also highlighted that the drill programme is under budget and on schedule.
