Rumble Resources shares rise on commencing zinc, lead exploration

High-grade historical grab samples include 18.9% zinc and 79% lead.

Rumble Resources’ (ASX:RTR) shares were trading 14% higher intra-day on Monday after commencing exploration at its Braeside zinc-lead project in Western Australia’s East Pilbara region.

The project consists of a single granted exploration licence and three exploration licence applications for a total area of 640 square kilometres.

Importantly, numerous small-scale mines and prospects occur in multiple parallel structures over a strike of at least 35 kilometres which includes the Ragged Hills mining centre discovered in 1901.

The historic mines at Braeside were operative up until 1959.

Significant high grade historical grab samples include results of up to 18.9% zinc, 79% lead, 11.64% copper, 325 g/t silver and 13 g/t gold.

Recent litho-geochemistry completed by Rumble has inferred a strong link between the mineralisation and a large felsic volcanic sequence that lies to the east.

The project is considered highly prospective for high grade polymetallic VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposits.

Rumble has already commenced a regional surface soil program designed to delineate base metal and gold geochemical trends.

The company’s next steps will involve airborne surveys, infill geochemistry over conductors, ground surveys and then drill testing.

Rumble’s share price increased circa 33% since the start of 2017, last trading at $0.024.
