Gfinity unveils Epsilon eSports as the eighth and final team to join its Elite Series

Epsilon eSports, which launched in 2008, rose to fame with teams competing in titles including Call of Duty, Gears of War and FIFA with regular top 10 finishes in esports tournaments around the world

Leading eSports promoter Gfinity Plc (LON:GFIN) has unveiled Epsilon eSports as the eighth and final team to join its Elite Series which kicks off in London this summer.

The AIM-listed firm noted that Epsilon eSports, which launched in 2008, rose to fame with teams competing in titles including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, Gears of War and FIFA with regular top 10 finishes in esports tournaments around the world.

Based in Belgium, Epsilon now has a roster of 19 pro gamers with smaller teams spread out across Europe and North America.

Epsilon joins the eight teams who will now prepare to focus on CS:GO, Rocket League and Street Fighter V ahead of the Elite Series., a dynamic new league format which is to take place in London's Gfinity Arena.

Neville Upton, Gfinity’s CEO, said: "We're extremely pleased to be able to confirm Epsilon eSports to our Elite Series line up.

“The organisation brings some exceptionally talented players to the tournament and highlights the credentials of the Elite Series in our inaugural season.”

He added: “We're now looking to July where we will be able to finally bring this thrilling spectacle to audiences across the world and teams like Epsilon eSports are a huge part of what will make this special."

Gregory Champagne, the owner and tream founder of Epsilon eSports said: "We are extremely excited to get under way with the Elite Series. It is an incredible opportunity for us to develop the next wave of talented esports athletes and grow the profile of Epsilon eSports globally."
