The Method team has a very large following in the world of computer gaming tournaments

The line-up for the inaugural Elites Series, a new league format for competitive computer gaming, is almost complete, Gfinity Plc (LON:GFIN) revealed on Tuesday.

If you are not familiar with Twitch TV, a subsidiary of Amazon.com that is a video platform and community for computer gamers, then Method’s fame might have eluded you, but suffice to say the team has more than 2.5mln followers across different esports platforms.

Gfinity said there is just one space left on the eight team tournament, and the identity of the team will be announced shortly.

"Method are such an exciting addition for us to add to our Elite Series line up. They bring not only huge talent from their players but they share our vision to grow the UK esports scene and take it to the next level. They are also one of the most watched teams on Twitch.tv, so we're excited to open up the world of Gfinity to their huge fan base too," said Neville Upton, chief executive of Gfinity.
