Belgian beer behemoth Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE:BUD) is set to heavily invest in its US operations in a bid to combat an increasingly tricky market where niche and craft beers are on the rise.
The group, which is behind brands like Budweiser and Stella Artois, is reportedly upgrading its US breweries and wants to build two new distribution centers in the States.
It is part of a whopping $500 million investment the firm is making in the US as it wants to turnaround flagging sales.
In 2016, total sales at Anheuser fell 2% with a 1.6% fall in the USA.
The move will create thousands of new jobs, but the company did not specify how many.
It has added around 2,500 jobs since 2013 and it employs over 17,000 people in the U.S.
Anheuser says it will spend $2 billion from now through to 2020.
