88 Energy Ltd (LON:88E) has told investors that the drilling of the Icewine-2 appraisal well remains ‘on schedule’ and reports that operations are continuing without incident.
The Alaska focussed oil and gas junior kicked off the Icewine-2 drilling in late April.
Today reported that the well has now been drilled down to 10,715 feet and that intermediate casing is now being cemented ahead of the next phase of drilling which will take it down to the production interval in the HRZ shale.
It highlighted that, as previously communicated, the company expects to conduct production testing in late June or early July and the programme is still on-track with that timeline.
“Further updates will be made as and when appropriate throughout the drilling / testing program,” the company said in the statement.
