Blina Minerals NL (ASX:BDI) has acquired the highly prospective Dingo Gold Project, located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
The Dingo project is situated circa 160 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie and covers a land area of 11.68 square kilometres.
A cash consideration of $20,000 was paid by Blina for 100% acquisition of the project.
The Dingo Gold mineralisation is associated with the McAuliffe Well Syenite. Mineralisation is hosted in ferruginous, cemented rock and saprolite developed over the syenite.
Historically, 226 drill holes totalling 4,310 metres (maximum hole depth of 45 metres) have been completed across the Dingo project.
Significant results from drilling include:
- 1 metre at 12.28 g/t gold from 9 metres;
- 1 metre at 6.94 g/t gold from 10 metres; and
- 2 metres at 2.2 g/t gold from 9 metres.
Importantly, the drilling has defined surficial gold mineralisation across an area of 400 by 300 metres at the project area.
Blina’s field-based exploration program is expected to commence imminently. The re-processing of geophysical survey data is already underway.
The company is also exploring for gold at the Diakouli joint venture property in Burkina Faso.
Blina has the right to earn an 80% interest in the exploration permit by spending US$500,000 over a four-year period.
The company has already incurred circa US$370,000 of expenditure at the project.
