Winston North has jumped ship from IMI PLC (LON:IMI) to become group finance director and company secretary at Stadium Group plc (LON:SDM).
North will take on his new role with effect from Monday, 15 May, which means he will miss Stadium’s annual general meeting (AGM), which is taking place today.
North’s most recent position at IMI was finance and information technology director at the engineer’s Hydronic Engineering Division, based in Geneva.

“Winston has extensive experience working within dynamic manufacturing businesses with a global footprint and has a broad range of skills that will be applicable to Stadium as we continue to grow our Technology Products division and fulfil our increasing forward order book," said Stadium’s chief executive, Charlie Peppiatt.
Ahead of the AGM, Stadium issued a copy of chairman Nick Brayshaw’s speech, in which he confirms trading in the first quarter was in line with management expectations.
The company only issued a trading update a couple of weeks back so there was not much new to add.

“The board remains confident that our offering of complementary electronic technologies and specialist design-focused engineering expertise continues to be attractive to customers and that the growing demand already seen in the first quarter is expected to continue, further underpinning 2017 expectations,” Brayshaw’s statement said.
