Skyfii (ASX:SKF) has rolled out its data analytics platform to 126 stores owned and operated by Woolworths Group in South Africa, as part of a multi-year deal.
Skyfii’s cloud-based platform uses wi-fi infrastructure, video sources, web and social platforms to allow venues to analyse the behaviour of visitors.
The agreement will see Skyfii rollout its IO Software as a Service (SaaS) platform subscription services across 500 stores initially over a three-year period, with an option to extend for a further two years.
Woolworths is a South Africa based international retailer with operations in 14 countries and owns over 1,300 large format stores.
The data and insights that are captured through the IO platform will enable Woolworths to gain deeper insights into store performance.
On a practical level, this will provide the ability to better optimise traffic flow through its stores and provide tailored offers and more personalised services to customers.
The rollout of data analytics and marketing services to Woolworths is in line with Skyfii’s continued international growth in the retail vertical segment.
The deal follows Skyfii’s recent contract wins with a premium UK food chain, One Five One Property in Australia, Aliansce Shopping Centre Group in Brazil and Durham University in the UK.
The company’s cash receipts from customers for the March 2017 quarter increased to $832,000, up 20% on the previous quarter.
Skyfii had a cash balance of $3.5 million as at 31 March 2017, which included the receipt of $1.4 million from its share purchase plan and conditional placement conducted in February 2017.
