WANdisco sparkles after biggest ever contract win

The US$4.1mln contract is for WANdisco Fusion on a volume limited, perpetual licence.

WANdisco PLC (LON:WAND) has picked up its largest ever contract as a major financial services multinational has chosen to use Fusion, its Big Data/cloud service..

Signed this quarter. the US$4.1mln contract is for WANdisco Fusion on a volume limited, perpetual licence.

Fusion was deemed to be the only enterprise-grade solution able to support critical Cloud and Big Data applications, withthe customer was impressed with the software’s capability to shift data between primary and disaster recovery sites without any downtime.

WANdisco added that cash outgoings were reduced to zero in the past three months due to strong bookings, good cash collection an R&D tax credit. Cash at the end of the quarter was US$7.6mln.

David Richards, chief executive said he was delighted with the order, the largest since the inception of WANdisco.

“This highly competitive and technologically complex mandate reinforces our belief that Fusion is the only solution that can enable organisations to seamlessly move large volumes of critical data without service disruption - something many thought impossible.

"We continue to see increasing traction with WANdisco Fusion, which is providing the foundation for our strong order book and sales pipeline for the current financial year."

Shares rose 69.1p to 454.1p.
