European Metals confirms Cinovec pre-feasibility study to be released in April

The lithium explorer also suggested car giant BMW could be behind the share price rise this week…

Lithium explorer European Metals Holdings Ltd (LON:EMH) has confirmed the pre-feasibility study for its Cinovec deposit in the Czech Republic will be published in April.

The company said all reports have been completed and are currently being collated, and it expects to announce the key financial output of the PFS ‘imminently’.

A sizeable drilling programme was carried out at the project in 2016, which will form part of the study.

Keith Coughlan, chief executive, recently described the latest published assay results as ‘in a league of their own’ in the lithium space.

European Metals also noted the recent rise in its share price, which has gained more than 10% this week.

The company suggested an article in an automotive trade magazine earlier this week could be behind the jump in value.

The article quotes BMW chief executive Harald Krüger as saying that the big German car manufacturers could join forces to secure a sufficient supply of lithium.

Shares closed at 74.5p on Thursday.
