Skyfii (ASX:SKF) has rolled out its data analytics platform to 89 large retail stores in South Africa and is in advanced negotiations to finalise a long-term agreement with the retail group.
The South African based group is a leading international retailer with operations in several countries globally including Australia.
Skyfii’s cloud-based platform uses wi-fi infrastructure, video sources, web and social platforms to allow venues to analyse the behaviour of visitors.
In doing so, it converts the data into a critical sales and marketing tool that allows venues and their commercial tenants to deliver content that is catered to each visitor’s needs and interests.
The roll out of data analytics services to the South Africa based retailer is in line with Skyfii’s strategy to expand globally in the retail vertical segment.
Once finalised, the agreement will see Skyfii rollout its IO platform subscription services across circa 500 stores initially over a three-year period.
The data and insights that are captured through Skyfii’s platform will enable the stores across the group to gain deeper insights into their performance.
On a practical level, this will provide the group with the ability to better optimise traffic flow through its stores and provide tailored offers and personalised services to customers.
In January, Skyfii embarked on a significant expansion in Brazil following a new deal with Aliansce Shopping Centres to roll out its platform across 33 centres by mid-2017.
