BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LON:BVC) said its Teleco Systems Division has been awarded a US$2.8mln contract with Internet Solutions Kenya.
It will upgrade the network infrastructure to increase bandwidth capacity so the client can expand the service offering.
Half the revenue from the contract will be recognised in this year’s accounts.
BATM chief executive Zvi Marom said he was “delighted” to have won the work.
“It reflects our ability to offer a high-quality software-defined network solution that can provide the customer with a state-of-the-art network without needing a significant hardware investment - as demonstrated by our successful delivery of a new high capacity network for the Kenya Education Network last year as well as other similar major network upgrades, enabling our customers to take on more business and expand their service offerings.”
