All will require lithium in future

Lithium explorer European Metals Holdings Ltd (LON:EMH) is on course to publish a pre-feasibility study for its Cinovec deposit in the Czech Republic at the end of the month.

A sizeable drilling programme was carried out at the project in 2016, which wil form part of the study.

Keith Coughlan, chief executive, described the latest published assay results as ‘in a league of their own’ in the lithium space.

Reflecting the increased activity, losses for the half year to December rose to A$3.1mln (£1.9mln)  from A$1.3mln.

Over the period, EMH was also granted a new exploration licence, Cinovec III to cover a small area above the Cinovec deposit itself along the Czech-German border.

The licence gives it exclusive rights to explore for potential deep seated lithium ore east of the Cinovec deposit.
