Kibo Mining and Opera making proress on gold mining deal

On completion, Opera will be renamed Katoro Gold Mining.

Kibo Mining PLC (LON:KIBO) is moving closer to reversing its gold mining assets into main market listed Opera with the resource verified and transaction documentation near to completion.

Consultant Minxcon estimates the two deposits in Tanzania, Imweru and Lubando, contain a combined 755,000 ounces, of which 88% is inferred and 12% indicated. The resource split is 68/32 Imweru/Lubando.

Opera will issue 61mln shares at 6p once the deal completes, which be followed by a funding to raise at least £1.7mln.

Originally, the plan was to raise £1.2mln but foreign exchange movements and prudence have prompted the increase.

On completion. Opera will also be renamed Katoro Gold Mining PLC.

Louis Coetzee, Kibo's chief executive, said: "We are pleased to be nearing completion of the above mentioned transaction and looking forward to see work commence on the Imweru project."

"We are also particularly pleased with the increase in gold ounces in the restated resource statements."
