Tissue Regenix Group PLC (LON:TRX) has landed a significant endorsement in the US for DermaPure, its wound care product.
It has been awarded an innovative technology contract from Vizient, the largest member-owned health care company in the US.
Contracts of this sort are reserved for technologies that "demonstrate an ability to enhance clinical care or patient safety, and those that improve an organisation's care delivery and business model", Tissue Regenix said.
It followed recommendations by hospital representatives who serve on a Vizient council that have expertise in the skin graft arena.
The company's chief executive, Antony Odell, said: "The approval by Vizient under their innovative technology contracting process reinforces Vizient member support for DermaPure.
"We look forward to working with Vizient members to bring DermaPure to the wider patient population."
Mid-afternoon the shares were up 2.5% at 18.45p, valuing the business at £148mln.
