Predictive Discovery’s (ASX:PDI) joint venture partner, Toro Gold has commenced a 1,500 metre diamond drilling program at the Nyangboue prospect within the Boundiali permit in Cote
D’Ivoire.
Drilling is aimed at understanding the controls on gold mineralisation intersected in the initial reverse circulation drilling program last year.
Results from that program included 20 metres at 10.5 g/t gold from 38 metres depth including 1 metre at 144.5 g/t gold.
Results of this diamond drilling program will guide an infill reverse circulation drilling planned for the June quarter.

Other upcoming exploration programs
Drilling is also planned on some other Cote D’Ivoire permits in the current field season, including Ferkessedougou South, Ferkessedougou North and the Kokoumbo/Beriaboukro ground package in the Toro Gold joint venture, and the Bobosso project in the XMI joint venture.
In addition, ground geochemical surveys are ongoing on the Toro Gold joint venture ground and initial geochemical exploration work is expected to commence on the new Cote D’Ivoire permit applications as soon as they are granted.
Background
Predictive’s principal focus is in the countries of Cote D’Ivoire and Burkina Faso in West Africa.
In Cote D’Ivoire, the company has interests in six granted exploration permits and two permit applications, totalling 2,936 square kilometres under the Toro Gold joint venture.
Predictive is also conducting exploration under an agreement on the Bobosso Project, which covers a further 1,200 square kilometres.
The company recently expanded its footprint in Cote D’Ivoire with six new permit applications totalling 2,320 square kilometres.
In Burkina Faso, the company has a Burkina-based team and a large regional tenement package in the north-east of the country covering 1,222 square kilometres.
The exploration focus is on the high-grade Bongou gold discovery which has a resource of 184,000 ounces of gold with an average grade of 2.6 g/t gold.
