Race Oncology (ASX:RAC) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX, pending details following the company's pre-Investigational New Drug (IND) meeting with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Friday, 17th February 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
In January this year the company released an investor presentation at a function held in San Francisco, California and associated with the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference.
Race Oncology revealed at the same time that the pre-IND meeting was scheduled with the FDA to review the company's plans for further clinical development and regulatory approval of the Bisantrene in the US.
Bisantrene is a cancer chemotherapy drug known to reduce cardiac toxicity.
