European Metals reports huge lithium intercept in latest Cinovec drill hole

The intercept was 361.5m averaging 0.43% lithium dioxide

European Metals Holdings Limited (LON:EMH) expects to upgrade the resource for its Cinovec lithium deposit in the Czech Republic this month after receiving the final assays from its latest drill programme. As with previous results, the lithium content was higher and the width of mineralisation greater than expected. Located between the western edge and historic central vein, Hole CIW-25 for example contained the company's longest intercept to date at 361.5m averaging 0.43% lithium dioxide. That included a high grade interval of 14.7m averaging 0.93% Li2O. Keith Coughlan, chief executive, said: "These results continue to either confirm or exceed our expectations with regards to lithium content and mineralisation width. The sheer size of Cinovec is highlighted by the 361m intercept which is in a league of its own in the lithium space." There were also significant intervals of tin and tungsten, he added, while Hole CIW-06 also intercepted a lithium interval of 258.5m averaging 0.44%. The Cinovec block model will be updated within the next fortnight and with the new resource calculation this will form the basis of a Preliminary Feasibility Study.
