Tissue Regenix Group PLC (LON:TRX) has had its regenerative skin graft Dermapure added to the US Veteran Affairs Federal Supply Schedule (FSS).
The FSS group is the largest integrated healthcare system in the US covering almost 9mln people including military veterans in a network of 152 hospitals and 800 outpatient clinics.
As well as wound care as many as one in four veterans suffers from diabetes, which is a much higher proportion than the US population on average.
Dermapure can be used to treat skin ulcers, which is a condition often associated with diabetes
Tissue Regenix said that inclusion on the FSS will boost Dermapure’s market presence both in the inpatient and outpatient segments.
In December, the company received a major boost when DermaPure was awarded a contract with Premier Alliance, a group of 3,600 US hospitals.
