Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI) has completed induced polarisation and ground magnetics surveys on its Boundiali permit in Cote d’Ivoire in preparation for March quarter diamond drilling.
The Boundiali permit is part of a joint venture with UK-based Toro Gold Ltd, which encompasses six granted permits and two permit applications in Cote D’Ivoire.
During the current quarter, a 1,500 metre drill program will follow up 2016 results that included 20 metres at 10.45 g/t gold from 38 metres.
Furthermore, results from a 2,153 sample soil program on the Ferkessedougou North, Beriaboukro and Boundiali permits are expected shortly.
Predictive finished the December quarter with $2.7 million in cash and no debt.
Background
Predictive’s principal focus is in the countries of Cote D’Ivoire and Burkina Faso in West Africa.
In Cote D’Ivoire, the company has interests in six granted exploration permits and two permit applications, totalling 2,936 square kilometres under the Toro Gold joint venture.
Predictive is also conducting exploration under an agreement on the Bobosso Project, which covers a further 1,200 square kilometres.
In Burkina Faso, the company has a Burkina-based team and a large regional tenement package in the north-east of the country covering 1,222 square kilometres.
The exploration focus is on the high-grade Bongou gold discovery which has a resource of 184,000 ounces of gold with an average grade of 2.6 g/t gold.
March quarter exploration program
During the March quarter, Predictive plans to:
- Commence diamond drilling at Boundiali (Toro JV, Cote d’Ivoire);
- Drill program planning for the Kokoumbo permit followed by reverse circulation drilling (Toro JV, Cote d’Ivoire);
- A second round of infill soil sampling on the Ferkessedougou North and Beriaboukro permits (Toro JV, Cote d’Ivoire); and
- Continue discussions about a possible joint venture on the Bonsiega Project (Burkina Faso).
