The announcement today came just a couple of weeks after BOS announced the release of its document management product, BOS Automate, which will ultimately form part of the BOS360 Work Patterns platform.
BOS said then that it would target government departments in its sales drive, and today’s announcement backs that up.
"It makes perfect sense for us to target sales of BOS Automate to government, particularly given its competitive price point and its proven ability to help drive efficiency for departments within the Malaysian government,” said Michael Travia, managing director of BOS.
“With this in mind we are delighted to have appointed Cornerstone Group, an influential consultancy with a serious government network, which will help us deliver sales to this target market,” he added.
BOS also announced the launch of the BOS reseller programme, with a focus towards established distributors that have relationships with large consulting service providers and system integrators.
BOS is also evaluating the opportunity to pitch for business at the UK’s Department of Work and Pensions.
“Notably, government spend on IT and compliance has increased incrementally over the past 10 years and, as demonstrated by the recent call for proposals from the UK Department of Work and Pensions, they can offer significant revenue opportunities. We expect to participate in this tender process and will update to market at the appropriate time,” Travia said.
“Given that government departments have significant content and documentation to deal with and distribute between different jurisdictions and bodies, we anticipate the demand for elegant software solutions such as ours to increase and therefore we believe we are in the right place at the right time," the MD concluded.
Shares in BOS, which have more than doubled in the last three months, were off 0.18p at 7.57p in late morning trading.
