Ariana Resources plc (LON:AAU) has identified extensive new vein mineralisation at its Arzu Central gold project in Turkey.
In a programme which hit mineralisation in every hole, among the best intercepts were seven metres at 4 grams per tonne gold and 27.51 grams silver, 12 metres at 1.96 grams gold and 34.45 grams silver and 11 metres at 1.83 grams gold and 45.07 grams silver.
"We are very excited to have confirmed the continuity of mineralisation beneath the cap rocks at Arzu Centra,” said Ariana chief executive Kerim Sener.
“These initial results demonstrate for the first time that an extensive and still only partially tested vein system is developed over 650m of strike connecting Arzu South with Arzu North. Future work will be directed towards the further expansion of the planned open pits at Arzu South, Arzu North and Derya in order to capture as much economic mineralisation as possible in this area.”
However, if enough high grade material is found, it’s also possible that an underground scenario a Arzu Central might be considered.
