Department 13 International launches flagship counter-drone product

Department 13 International (ASX:D13) has commercially launched its flagship counter-drone product, MESMER Version 1.0, a patented, non-kinetic drone mitigation solution.

MESMER is designed as an effective and safe method of protecting personnel and infrastructure from dangerous drones.

It utilises a protocol manipulation technology, enabling it to take control of drones and land them safely in a defined exclusion zone.

With customer demonstrations and trials of MESMER currently underway, the company has secured global distributor agreements to support the launch.

Department 13’s focus is to drive sales, both directly and through partner channels, and to establish the product as the global market leader in counter-drone technology.

The sales channel comprises strategic partners Booz Allen Hamilton in the U.S., EPE in Australasia, Phoenix Group in Latin America and ISM in the UK and Europe.

The anti-drone market is expected to reach US$1.14 billion by 2022, and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23.89% between 2017 and 2022.

A number of tier one customers have commenced commercial trials and scheduled demonstrations of MESMER. This follows a series of successful validation exercises conducted last year.

Department 13’s share price has increased by about 44% since the start of this year, last trading at $0.13.
