MySQUAR Limited’s (LON:MYSQ) recent flurry of new app releases seems to have done the trick, with the number of registered users across its platforms now exceeding 7.5mln.
That figure means the Myanmar-focused mobile app developer has grown its user base by more than 25% since last October, when it told investors that it had around 6mln users on board.
The growth comes after a busy period of new app releases for MySQUAR, including ChakraNinja – its mobile video game which is based on the popular comic character Naruto.
It also launched an internet-based telephone app at the end of December – CallHome – which the company said has the “potential to become a major revenue earner”.
“MySQUAR's user base has been steadily increasing along with the full release and soft launch of various apps and games, including CallHome, Fastsell and ChakraNinja,” said chief executive Eric Schaer.
“The diversified user base across the different sectors of gaming, social networking, and increasingly VoIP, and mobile marketplace gives MySQUAR a unique position in the mobile-based value added service market in Myanmar.”
In addition to the flurry of recent launches, MySQUAR also has a new gaming platform slated for release later this month, while new ‘hardcore’ games are expected to be launched in February and March as well.
