Walkabout Resources granted an ASX trading halt

Walkabout Resources (ASX:WKT) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX this morning, pending details of a share raising activity.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 18th January 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.

Walkabout is focused on the 70% owned Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project located in Tanzania.

A recent Scoping Study forecast capex of US$35 to US$40 million with a payback of less than two years – the second lowest amongst its peers and lowest in Tanzania.

The base case pre-tax net present value is forecast to be US$169 million for 25,000 tonnes per annum production and the upside estimate is valued at US$304 million for 40,000 tonnes per annum production.

The definitive feasibility study is well advanced and due for release in February 2017.
