Tekcapital energised by successful US patent application

Mobile phone battery flat? A quick walk round the block could solve that using energy harvesting technology

Intellectual property (IP) commercialisation company Tekcapital PLC’s (LON:TEK) patent application for its electro-mechanical energy harvest technology has been successful in the USA.

Tekcapital believes the new electro-mechanical energy harvest technology has the potential to enable the development of new power generation devices that may be incorporated into footwear to generate power for recharging mobile devices.

"We are very pleased to announce the receipt of the Notice of Allowance for our licensed energy harvester patent application, which strengthens our IP position. We are actively working to develop a prototype for this product and look forward to updating the market in due course," said Dr Clifford Gross, executive chairman of Tekcapital.
