Terrain Minerals targets enhanced gold resource at Great Western

Terrain Minerals (ASX:TMX) has received encouraging gold results from the December 2016 drilling campaign at the Great Western project located 68 kilometres north of Leonora in Western Australia.

All holes at the eastern end intersected mineralisation, including:

- 5 metres at 6.98 g/t gold from 88 metres; and

- 2 metres at 12.1 g/t gold from 82 metres and 2 metres at 24.4 g/t gold from 99 metres, both from the same hole.

These successful results will now be incorporated into an updated resource model.

The Great Western Project has an existing JORC resource of 669,000 tonnes at 2.92 g/t gold.

Terrain will now incorporate the latest results into an updated resource model to be used in the ongoing scoping studies for Great Western.

The high grade intersections within the oxide zone are considered encouraging and has the potential to enhance the modelled grade.

Importantly, the results may have a positive effect on the required start-up capital due to an increase in grade within the upper zones.

Terrain raised $845,550 last month from shareholders, placing the company in a strong position as it continues to advance the Great Western project.

The company’s share price has increased by 120% over the past one year, last trading at $0.011.
