Amur ups revenue expectations after Kun-Manie metallurgical study

Nickel revenues may be 10% higher than anticipated and copper income 6% better

Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) is eyeing significantly higher revenues from its Kun-Manie project in Russia after the latest metallurgical work reported improved metal recoveries. Work carried out by Gipronickel Institute's on a decent sized ore sample from the Maly Kurumkon/Flangovy deposit at Kun-Manie indicated nickel revenues may be 10% higher than anticipated and copper income 6% better. Robin Young, chief executive, said: “With recoveries of 80.6% for nickel and 83.8% for copper, additional metal should be recovered whilst operating costs will remain nearly the same. “Capital cost savings may also be attained if the company decides to establish an owner operated concentrate treatment facility to generate a Low Grade Matte.” Amur is also set to produce an updated resource estimate for the huge site this quarter that will include the results of an extensive 2016 drilling programme. Young expects this to produce a substantial increase in the resource and a major boost to the economics of the project.
