Savannah Resources pleased with lithium grades in Finland samples

Savannah is doing targeting work ahead of a drill programme to start once winter is over.

Rock chip sampling work has identified seven lithium bearing structures on its acreage in Finland, said Savannah Resources Plc (LON:SAV).

Five of the samples were found on the Erajarvi prospect and two at Somero, where the grades were highest with a best of 4.47% lithium oxide (Li2O) at Torkkamaki along 150m of mineralisation.

Savannah is doing targeting work ahead of a drill programme to start once winter is over.

David Archer, chief executive, said he was pleased with the outcome so far from its early exploration efforts.

Finland is a lithium focus for a number of companies thanks to its significant resource potential, excellent mining legislation and infrastructure endowment, and we believe the results we have received to date support our recent decision to move into this prospective region.”
