BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LON:BVC) has won a second contract for its agri-waste disposal technology from Israel’s largest food company.
The contract, worth about €1.75mln, is for the supply and installation of a unit at one of the customer's bovine slaughterhouses.
Installation will commence immediately and is due to complete in 2017.
The unit will treat the remaining by-products of bovine processing to produce protein and fat products for use in areas such as high-grade domestic animal food.
BATM will receive €875,000 in 2017 and the remaining 50% from a revenue-share based on the sale of the usable by-products.
One of the customer’s other operations already uses a smaller facility.
BATM added that it has also been awarded a US patent for the pathogenic waste treatment and sterilisation technology
Zvi Marom, BATM’s chief executive, said it was a significant order from a major customer while the patent meant it can now look to the US market.
