New AIM listee Warpaint London plc (LON:W7L) continued to go great guns following its debut this week.
Shares were up a further 11% today to 122.5p compared to a listing price of 97p.
Ahead of its float, the cosmetics and make-up group said trading was strong.
Software house Arcontech PLC (LON:ARC) has picked up contracts worth an additional £115,000 per year in recurring revenues from three existing clients.
The new contracts are effective from this month and are for Arcontech’s Symbol mapper, Cache with Calculations Engine and Excelerator products.
Shares rose 15% to 43p.
Strange happenings at GN Group Limited (LON:GNGL), where a shuffling of boardroom responsibilities has sent the share price soaring.
Geoffrey Fielding, the firm’s independent non-executive director, has been appointed executive chairman with immediate effect while Ahmad Nasri Bin Abdul Rahim, who is currently executive becomes a non-executive.
Shares rose 157% to 3.85p.
11.00am ...Amryt Pharma in demand after €20mln trial funding
Amryt Pharma PLC (LON:AMYT) jumped 16% to 16p as it secured a €20mln European Investment Bank loan for its new treatment for rare skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa.
The cash will pay for a phase III trial of Episalvan, to demonstrate efficacy and safety, which is expected to get underway in the first-quarter of 2017.
Flooring specialist James Halstead PLC (LON:JHD) had a rare stumble today.
It has seen significant upward pressure on the pricing of plasticiser, one of its key raw materials, after an explosion at one of BASF's European plants.
While BASF is not a direct supplier the disruption has raised the price across the market and it is one more thing Halstead has to deal with in what it describes as a challenging market.
Making progress against the comparative half-year will be difficult, it added, sending its shares down 6% to 455.3p.
Quadrise Fuels International PLC (LON:QFI) slipped 10% to 10.6p on an innocuous looking AGM statement. A trial of its new marine fuel with shipping giant Maersk should complete by the middle of next year while trials in Saudi Arabia for its combustion fuel should begin during the second half of 2017.

8.08am ...Altona Energy buoyed by Aussie permit optimism
Altona Energy PLC (LON:ANR) climbed to the top of the risers as it reported that its Arckaringa Project in Australia is now next in line for consideration by the South Australian Government.
The application is for a petroleum export licence, which is required before Altona can move forward with its development plans.
"The South Australian region is currently experiencing an economic downturn and power shortages are a regular occurrence.
“We therefore continue to believe the Arckaringa Project will be a high priority for the government,” Altona said.
Shares rose 12% to 0.5p.
Prospex Oil and Gas PLC (LON:PXOG) ,meanwhile, has had its drilling plan for the Kolo Licence onshore Poland approved.
The planned well, Boleslaw-1, should be drilled this month said Prospex adding it will target gas in an already recognised hydrocarbon system.
Shares rose 18% to 2.61p.
IPhone component supplier Laird PLC (LON:LRD) dialled up more bad news for its backers in the form of a thumping £185mln right issue and cut dividend.
Full details of the funding will be announced in the New Year.
Laird, which supplies the metal that shields mobile phone components from electromagnetic interference and heat, saw its shares tumble 9% to 138.1p.
