Pizza group DP Poland Plc (LON:DPP) has sold off four of its corporately-owned stores in the city of Krakow to a new franchisee.
VKF Group – led by former Domino’s employee Wojtek Fronczyk – will pay DP Poland £347,000 to buy and sub-franchise the stores.
The cash will be used for general working capital purposes, DPP told investors.
DP Poland chief executive Peter Shaw said: “Extending sub-franchising is key to our expansion plans and I look forward to welcoming more sub-franchisees to more cities in the future.”
Fronczyk is already well-known by the Domino's and DPP teams.
He was an area manager for the pizza giant in the UK before moving back to his native Poland where he reprised the same role to manage the stores in Krakow.
Last years, the four stores posted an underlying loss of £34,000.
After today’s sale and sub-franchising, DP Poland has 13 corporately-managed and 19 sub-franchised stores.
