Deltex Medical Group plc (LON:DEMG) has signed up another new account in the United States for its oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM) systems.
The new addition is a 400-bed hospital in the North East of the country and is home to one of the longest-established teaching hospitals in the country, Deltex told investors.
“Our business in the USA, our main focus market, continues to expand with growth rates ahead of other countries,” said chief executive Ewan Phillips.
“In a number of our territories, including the North-East, we have now established a regional platform of large accounts with substantial potential for future growth.”
The new account is the 28th platform account added in the US this year and the sixth in the North East area.
Importantly for Deltex, the sign-up keeps the firm on track to meet its stated target of adding 30 new platforms before the year is out.
The hospital's plan is to start using the ODM systems from next month with a small group of doctors aiming to treat 30 patients a month.
It will then ramp up the process, expanding the number of doctors and range of procedures.
