BATM customer orders second second hazardous waste unit in US$1.4mln deal

Broker Shore Capital said: “We believe that this announcement, clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the solution and it’s the economic value - a strong point of reference for future clients therefore.”

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LON:BVC) said its Bio-Medical division had received an order from a customer for a second hazardous waste unit.

The company wasn’t named, but is known to be leading manufacturer of animal vaccines.

The value of the contract is US$1.4mln with US$800,000 expected after the first phase of the installation.

"This second order for our unique instrument from such an established business provides validation of the strength of our solution for treating biological waste,” said Ofer Barner, head of the waste treatment unit.

"This new technology saves on capital expenditure, manufacturing space and operational costs while reducing the risk of cross contamination. We believe this endorsement will pave the way for potential orders from other vaccine producers."

At 1.15pm the shares were changing hands for 15.34p, barely changed on the day.
