ITM Power plc (LON:ITM) has signed up mining titan Anglo American (LON:AAL) as its seventh hydrogen fuel customer in the UK.
The company is currently rolling out a network of ten hydrogen refuelling stations in the UK, of which three are now open.
Each station uses ITM Power’s rapid response electrolyser system and can refuel a fuel cell electric car in three minutes.
Andrew Hinkly, at Anglo American Platinum, said the use of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles will increase to meet emissions targets and rapid refuelling and the use of a renewable clean fuel offers a significant advantage.
