The mobile applications will be tested and evaluated by the U.S. Department of Defense operational elements to improve situational awareness and combat coordination.
This contracts stems from a long term relationship with the US Warfighter-Lab and is complementary to Department 13’s counter-drone capability.
The company’s ‘Mesmer’ counter-drone solution has the ability to take control of a drone and land it, against the will of the source controller.
In September, the company successfully demonstrated its counter-drone solution at Black Dart, a U.S. Department of Defense counter-drone evaluation exercise.
Earlier this month, the company also demonstrated its solutions to potential defence, security and law enforcement customers from a range of federal and state government agencies in Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.
Department 13 is well funded with $6.5 million in cash as at 30 September 2016.
