Griffin will be on site in Argentina next week and will be managing the drilling program on the Catamarca project and coordinating the exploration on other Latin Resources projects.
He has circa 21 years professional experience in mining geology, resource development and exploration in Australia, Africa, South America and Asia.
This includes senior roles with Newcrest Mining, Sons of Gwalia, Consolidated Minerals, Ivanhoe Mines, Aspire Mining Ltd, Haranga Resources Ltd, Lindian Resources Ltd and Altan Rio Ltd.
Griffin was chief geologist for two years at the Wodgina pegmatite hosted tantalum mine and recently managed a large-scale tantalum-tin greenfields pegmatite exploration project in Zimbabwe.
Latin Resources is expecting the final two concessions for its Catamarca lithium pegmatite project to be granted within the next few days.
The drilling of the Catamarca project in Argentina is expected to commence in December.
