Risers and fallers: Scotgold shines as its first pour offer excitesinvestors

Some of the main news-driven share price changes at 3.45pm

Scotgold Resources Limited (LON:SGZ), up 12% to 0.64p. Investors have reacted well to the news that the Scotland-focused gold miner is to offer investors the chance to own the first pour of Scottish gold from its Cononish mine in Tyndrum.

The firm will release ten limited edition 1oz gold rounds, which will be made from the first pure commercial gold mined in the history of the country.

They can be bought in a sealed-bids auction that closes on 28 November at 4pm.

Associated British Foods (LON:ABF), up 6% to 2,637p. The Twinings and Primark owner saw revenues rise 5% in the year to September, mainly driven by strong growth at the latter.

Elsewhere, it wasn’t such an enjoyable day for CloudTag Inc (LON:CTAG), which was down 24% to 10.6p.

The wearable tech group received a provisional purchase order from its European distributor for its first product, CloudTag Track, and added that it is in the process of raising just over £4mln from an institutional investor.

Some of the main news-driven share price changes at 11.30am.

RISERS

Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR), up 16% to 2.27p. Shares were well up on the news that former CEO Paul Johnson has issued the company with an early exercise notice for a portion of his outstanding options.

Metal Tiger will issue three million shares at 2p each for a total of £60,000.

The company says the fact that Johnson has decided to exercise his options early is a “clear statement of his belief in the company’s business model”.

Armadale Capital PLC (LON:ACP), up 8% to 3.8p. “Very promising” assay results confirm high-grade graphite mineralisation a Mahenge Liandu project in Tanzania.

Venn Life Sciences Holdings plc (LON:VENN), up 7% to 24.95p. The firm has won a €2.5mln contract for a phase III trial for a new application of the anaesthetic isoflurane.

FALLERS

Getech Group PLC (LON:GTC), down 8% to 27.8p. “Low and volatile” oil prices meant full-year results were disappointing, with revenues and profits both taking a hit.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC (LON:JLT), down 4% to 980p. The insurance specialist felt the “headwinds caused by ongoing global economic uncertainty” in the last quarter, adding that the trading outlook will likely “remain challenging” for at least the rest of the year.

Some of the main news-driven share price changes at 9.15am.

RISERS

Redcentric PLC (LON:RCN), up 15% to 72.5p. The shares are in recovery mode following yesterday’s hammering. Shares were down more than 60% yesterday after the IT firm discovered some issues with their accounts.

Associated British Foods PLC (LON:ABF), up 9% to 2,697. The Twinings and Primark owner saw revenues rise 5% in the year to September.

It was its low-cost high street retailer that drove most of this growth, with Primark reporting a year-on-year sales increase of 9%, while revenue also gained 11% to stand at US$5.84bn.

ABF’s grocery brands grew revenues as well – although not at quite the same rate – posting £3.2mln in revenue for this year compared to £3.17mln in 2015.

FALLERS

CloudTag Inc (LON:CTAG), down 31% to 9.64p. The wearable tech group has received a provisional purchase order from its European distributor for its first product, CloudTag Track. The firm also added that it is in the process of raising just over £4mln from an institutional investor.

Grafenia Plc (LON:GRA), down 21% to 6.9p. Turnover and losses increased in the six months to September compared to the same period last year and will not pay a dividend this year as a result.
