Lodestar Minerals concludes drilling at Contessa gold prospect

Lodestar Minerals Ltd (ASX:LSR) has completed a drilling program at the Contessa gold prospect on the Ned’s Creek project, 170 kilometres north of Meekatharra in Western Australia.

The 44-hole program for 3,490 metres at Contessa was designed to reduce the existing drill traverse spacing in areas of significant supergene mineralisation.

The drilling specifically tested for structurally-controlled primary gold mineralisation near pre-existing drill traverses.

Following completion of the drilling at Contessa, Lodestar completed an additional 13 holes at the Brumby prospect targeting a discrete magnetic anomaly.

The results from the drilling programs are expected towards the end of November.

Previous drill intersections reported at Contessa includes 5 metres at 6.6 g/t gold from 55 metres and 10 metres at 5.6 g/t gold from 55 metres.

Lodestar is planning additional drilling to test aircore gold anomalies south west of Contessa.

Moreover, a 2,000 metre aircore program is also planned to in-fill drill syenite-hosted lag and aircore gold anomalies at the Brumby prospect.
