BATM wins order down-under

The customer's network connects education and research institutions throughout Australia as well as with their global peers

Networking specialist BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LON:BVC) has been awarded a contract in Australia to provide a managed network traffic management solution.

The contract has been placed by a major provider of high-speed network and information & communications technology services to education and research facilities in Australia.

BATM said the contract is expected to be worth between US$1.5mln and US$2mln over a three-year period. An option exists to extend the contract to five years with the potential for additional orders of at least the same size.

“We believe that the decision of this reputable customer to choose our solution following their POC [proof of concept] will encourage other customers that are currently going through a similar process," he added.

Shares in BATM opened 0.1p lower at 15.02p.
