Risers and fallers: Amur Minerals, Jersey Oil and Gas, Motif Bio

Shares in explorer Amur Minerals soared on Monday after it announced a tie with Chinese nickel giant Jinchuan

RISERS

Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC), up 17% to 4.05p. The minerals explorer told investors on Monday morning that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s largest nickel company, Jinchuan.

The outline agreement relates specifically to engineering, design, procurement and construction activities at Amur’s Kun-Manie deposit in Russia’s far-east.

Chief executive Robin Young has hailed the tie-up as a “good step forward” for Amur.

Jersey Oil and Gas PLC (LON:JOG), up 35% to 100p. Big time small cap investor Peter Gyllenhammar sold off some of his stake, making the stock a bit more liquid.

FALLERS

Motif Bio Plc (LON:MTFB), down 19% to 42.5p. Revealed that its REVIVE phase III trial is running ahead of schedule, while it continues to work on securing fresh capital via a NASDAQ listing.

Nyota Minerals Limited (LON:NYO), down 9% to 0.05p. The miner only has A$6,000 left in the bank as of the end of its most recent quarter, which, at current burn rates, wouldn’t be enough to see it into next week. It’s in talks with investors for a 12 month, unsecured loan of £400,000.

RISERS

Alpha Pyrenees Trust Limited (LON:ALPH), up 33% to 0.1p. Has managed to extend all of its £89.8mln of debt facilities with Barclays to 31 October 2018, after they were originally due today.

Prairie Mining Ltd (LON:PDZ), up 11% to 23.8p. Investors reacted well to the company’s bullish quarterly released today.

Premaitha Health PLC (LON:NIPT), up 10% to 10.1p. Welcomed a decision from the UK government that could see the NHS use more of its non-invasive prenatal blood tests.

FALLERS

Milestone Group PLC (LON:MSG), down 10% to 1.15p. Issued 4.5mln shares at 1p a share, a slight discount on today’s price, to settle a creditor balance of £45,700.

IGas Energy Plc (LON:IGAS), down 5% to 11.7p. Confirmed talks with bondholders and new investors as it seeks a capital structure fitting for the current operating environment.

RISERS

Innovaderma PLC (LON:IDP), up 30% to 142.8p. The hair and skin treatment specialist said it had successfully entered the US market after securing retail and e-tailer distribution deals for its Skinny Tan self-tanning lotion.

Nu-Oil and Gas PLC (LON:NUOG), up 10% to 0.6p. Agreed heads of terms with PVF Energy Services which will see the parties work together to establish commercial production operations at Nu-Oil’s PL22002-01(A) licence in Western Nefoundland, host to the Garden Hill oil discovery.

FALLERS

Proteome Sciences plc (LON:PRM), down 36% to 5.65p. Announced an oversubscribed placing in which it issued 66.3mln shares at a severely discounted price of 5p per share.

Turbo Power Systems Inc (LON:TPS), down 15% to 0.15p. Operating profit for the three months to September more than halved compared to the same period last year, while the firm added that changes to customer delivery schedules would “adversely impact” its results for the current year.

Plexus Holdings PLC (LON:POS), down 9% to 55p. Released its preliminary results this morning which showed dip in revenues because of challenging oil and gas markets, but said it would emerge as a a stronger company because of the changes it’s been forced to make.
