Final testing and commisioning is underway before the FPSO sets sail

EnQuest Plc (LON:ENQ) confirmed that the Kraken field is on course for first oil in the first half of 2017.

The floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Kraken will depart from Singapore during the current quarter, it said.

Quayside testing is now complete and the vessel will take up deep water anchorage and will subsequently undergo commissioning for a number of systems.

Following the completion of these test operations the FPSO will sail to the North Sea. It is expected to be a 50-day journey, which will put the field on track for a first half start-up.
