The tenements area, located 120 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie, covers a sequence of deformed Archean greenstone belt within the Southern Laverton Tectonic Zone.
The drilling is planned to test anomalous results which occur at the bottom of selected holes along a 600 metres long trend, known as the Stag Prospect.
Targeted results include:
- 8 metres at 8.22 g/t gold from 79 metres including 1 metres at 57.17 g/t gold;
- 20 metres at 0.57 g/t gold from 76 metres; and
- 8 metres at 1.19 g/t gold from 69 metres.
The drilling program comprises 13 reverse circulation holes, for a total of 1,500 metres, to test the orientation and tenor of mineralisation beneath the earlier drilling.
The Lake Roe Project area is centred between a number of large gold deposits, including Carosue Dam (3.5 million ounces gold) and Karonie (0.9 million ounces gold).
The project lies 10 kilometres northeast of Breaker Resources NL’s (ASX:BRB) Lake Roe project where Breaker has defined a large gold-arsenic-tellurium-molybdenum anomaly.
