Proactive news round-up: Nostra Terra, Aureus Mining, ITM Power...

A round-up of today's news on the Proactive newswire

Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Company plc (LON:NTOG) chief executive Matt Lofgran has increased his stake in the company, buying 1.6mln new shares.

The shares were bought on Thursday, at a price of 1.31p each. Lofgran owns 5.97mln shares, 6.25% of the company, as a result of the latest transaction.

Aureus Mining’s (LON:AUE TSX:AUE) majority shareholder is to refinance the Liberia—based gold miner through a substantial share issue with a name change to Avesoro Resources also planned. Turkish conglomerate MNG will subscribe US$60mln in new equity at 1.5p per share with up to a further US$12mln to come from a placing with institutional investors.

ITM Power (LON:ITM) has signed an agreement with car and van leasing group Arval to supply it hydrogen fuel. The contract, at a price of £10/kg, is for fuel dispensed across ITM's hydrogen refuelling network and follows the £35mln package of measures to boost the uptake of ultra-low emission cars unveiled by the government yesterday.

Copper miner Weatherly International plc (LON:WTI) posted a loss as it continues to try and optimise its Tschudi open pit mine and garner vale from its other assets in Namibia at a highly challenging time for copper prices. The mine produced first copper in February 2015 but quickly faced operational issues during commissioning.

The start of Friday’s session marked the rebirth of Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited (LON:GKP) following the Kurdistan oiler’s bruising restructuring. A total of 21,910,523,553 new shares, the vast majority of which were issued to debtholders, were today admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange.

Clinical services specialist Ergomed Plc (LON:ERGO) said its co-development partner AEterna Zentaris Inc (TSE:AEX, NASDAQ:AEZS) has signed an additional licensing deal for cancer drug Zoptrex. AEterna Zentaris signed an exclusive licence agreement with Specialised Therapeutics Asia for Zoptrex, covering the territories of Australia and New Zealand. It is the fourth licensing agreement for AEterna’s lead anti-cancer compound.

Advanced Oncotherapy PLC (LON:AVO) hopes to raise up to £4mln in an open offer of shares at £1 each - a modest discount to Thursday’s closing price. The fundraise is part of a larger financing plan “supported by banks and strategic partners” and helps the company tap into a £24mln facility provided by the private equity group Metric Capital.
